2011 Marketing Plan
 
Donegal Importers intends to reach a targeted customer base and effectively sell your product to these customers. The marketing plan will address four main topics: Product; Price; Place; and Promotion.
 
Product:
Our business will offer you a sales force in the United States to effectively market your product. We combine targeted and effective “face to face” sales calling, internet promotion and marketing consultation thereby distancing Donegal Importers from the competition.  The American market is difficult for a foreign company to navigate without a dedicated fulltime employee. Consider us a member of your team. We have retained the services of UPS to provide all of our shipping needs. This alliance will provide faster and accurate fulfillment of your product orders to the United States. 
 
Price:
Competition in the United States can charge significant prices with often minimal results. We will not be beat on price and will take all minimum orders for product placement. Donegal Importers plans to secure multiple brand named retailers in the future to secure a long term business relationship.   When a relationship is developed, Donegal Importers seeks a flat commission of 20% on those initial and all subsequent orders placed.  
 
Place:
The sales channels we use are as follows: telephone, direct mail and cold calling. Numerous additional sales channels (fairs, malls, sporting events, etc.) will be test marketed in 2010. Donegal Importers will make 60-75 sales calls for you each week to sell your product. Most of these calls will be directed at the New York and Philadelphia metropolitan markets: in the states of New Jersey; New York; Connecticut and Pennsylvania. We will test market your product line in south western Florida in 2011. In 2009 and 2010 160 "mainstream" American boutiques were signed up using this methodology.
 
Promotion:
The internet will be used to sell your product through www.donegalimporters.com at a pricing structure that is agreed upon by both parties. However, we believe our success will come from direct face to face sales efforts each and every day. Our usefulness to you is our ability to reach out to the American market. Three direct mail promotions will also serve as a useful selling tool. Existing promotional tools such as brochures, banners, samples and pricing lists will help sell your product and maintain brand consistency.
